More importantly, hospitals serve as important sources of talents & expertise that facilitate our translational research, even from the very beginning of our project initiation.

1. SICHUAN ACADEMY OF MEDICAL SCIENCES & SICHUAN PROVINCIAL PEOPLE'S HOSPITAL
Sichuan Academy of Medical Sciences & Sichuan Provincial People's Hospital（SAMS&SPPH），Located by the side of the Huanhua River and adjacent to the Qingyang Taoist Templein Chengdu, China.
SAMS&SPPH has 7058 employees and 1066 senior professional experts, with 200 individuals who have won a variety of talent titles at provincial and ministerial levels. Among the latter, there is one academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, 17 national talents, 4 young and middle-aged experts with outstanding contributions from the Ministry of Health, 45 candidates for special government subsidies of the State Council, 24 academic and technical leaders of Sichuan Province, 22 talents from the “Tianfu Emei Plan”and 12 talents from the “Tianfu Qingcheng plan”.
SAMS&SPPH is approved by the State to carry out all types of solid organ transplantations and other clinical interventions. It is also qualified as one of the national stem cell clinical research institutes and their associated projects. It has a complete range of disciplines. Including 7 clinical key specialties，34 provincial medical key disciplines，4 key laboratories in Sichuan Province，3 national secondary medicine laboratories of the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
2. RUIJIN HOSPITAL, SHANGHAI JIAOTONG UNIVERSITY SCHOOL OF MEDICINE
Ruijin Hospital was founded in 1907, formerly known as Guangci Hospital. With an integration of medical treatment, teaching and scientific research, it is a comprehensive 3A hospital. It is one of the first batch of national public hospital high-quality development pilot hospitals and modern hospital management system pilot hospitals; Selected as one of the first projects of the National Medical Center (comprehensive category), Ruijin Hainan Hospital has become a national regional medical center; Selected as a pilot project for the national "flagship" hospital of Chinese and Western medicine collaboration, as well as a national emergency medical rescue base project.
The hospital currently has 48 clinical business departments (including 46 clinical departments and 2 independent clinical centers), 4 national key disciplines, and 24 national key clinical specialties. It has national key scientific and technological infrastructure of translational medicine (Shanghai), State Key Laboratory of medical genomics, national clinical medical research center of metabolic diseases, 6 provincial and ministerial key laboratories, 34 national drug clinical research bases, etc. There are also research institutions such as the Full Life Cycle Health Management Center, Brain Disease Center, Advanced Medical Imaging Technology Research Institute, and Medical Chip Research Institute.
3. RENJI HOSPITAL ,SHANGHAI JIAOTONG UNIVERSITY SCHOOL OF MEDICINE
Renji Hospital has a history of over 170 years. It has been the first western medicine hospital since the opening of Shanghai. With an integration of medical treatment, teaching and scientific research, it is a comprehensive 3A hospital （the top level of hospital ranking in China） with a complete range of disciplines.
Shanghai Clinical Centre of Rheumatic Diseases was officially approved by Shanghai Health Bureau in 2001. It was built upon Department of Rheumatology of Renji Hospital to focus on rheumatic diseases. Some in-depth researches have been done in the epidemiology, pathogenesis, diagnosis and treatment of rheumatic diseases including systemic systemic lupus erythematosus, rheumatoid arthritis, antiphospholipid syndrome, inflammatory myopathy, Behçet's disease, adult-onset Still's disease, ankylosing spondylitis, immensely benefiting the patients in terms of survival rate and life quality. Department of Rheumatology of Renji Hospital (a.k.a. Shanghai Clinical Centre of Rheumatic Diseases), with its 110 fixed beds, admits patients with severe rheumatic diseases transferred from other comprehensive hospitals both inside and outside of Shanghai, and nevertheless helps with the diagnosis and treatment of many cases of refractory rheumatism in hospitals in East China region and other areas of the country by providing consultations.
4. SHANGHAI GENERAL HOSPITAL
Shanghai General Hospital was founded in 1864 by French Consuls as one of the largest and the earliest western medicine hospitals in China. For 25 consecutive years, Shanghai General Hospital has been awarded as the civilized model unit by Shanghai municipal government.
We are committed to building our hospital into a first-class modern hospital in Shanghai and even in the world featured with low cost, high efficiency and superb clinical and management quality. There are 48 departments and 53 wards in Shanghai General Hospital, 8 out of which are national key clinic disciplines. They are cardiology department, ENT Department, Ophthalmology, Urology Department, Respiratory Department, Gastroenterology Department, General surgery Department, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Oncology Department and Clinic Pharmacology. Four of them are identified as Shanghai Key Disciplines, including visual rehabilitation clinic medical center, Shanghai organ transplantation Clinical Center, Shanghai Cardiac emergency center and Shanghai emergency trauma center. National Ministry of Health approved Shanghai General Hospital as the Endoscopic training base because of the big number and high quality of our endoscopic cases.
